Getting questions from people who want to know to the people who have the answers is an important element in maximizing the enjoyment of a Pepsi collection.  Since posting this web site, I have had several inquiries from people who want to know things that I don't know -- but I do know that somewhere  out there is someone who does know.  So, we have the "Ask the Experts" page.

Here's how it works.

  • Email me your question   Please try to be a little specific about what you want to know.  If you have a picture of the item in question, attach it to your email.  I'll post your question and picture (if available).

  • If you have an answer to a question you see here, email me and I'll post your answer along with the question.

Special Message for Tina: I've tried to email you to thank you for your answers, but the emails are all returned.  So here it is - Thank your for all your answers on behalf of all Pepsinuts!  We appreciate your contributions to this page.

My dad is trying to purchase a copy of the train locomotive poster which appeared in Michael J Fox's apartment commercial. It looks like the Black & White Photo may have been from one of the World's Fairs of the 1920's or 1930's. Do you know what it is, and how I might track down a copy? Perhaps someone at the ad agency that produced it would know?

Arden wants to know:
I wondered if you could help me track down a commercial i remember seeing in the 90's. It's a pop commercial for sure, I'm pretty sure it's Pepsi. I think it takes place in a asian country either Hong Kong or Japan, and there are 4-5 guys roller blading down traffic really fast jumping over cars and stuff. All the while a little boy is watching from an apartment window, then one of the roller bladers pull ahead and stop at a Pop machine hits it's 5 times for the pepsi's and throws them to each rollerblader as they whizz by. The kid keeps following them from window to window, the last guys starts to take off, stops finishes his pop looks up at the kid then throws the bottle at him and the kid catches it then the bladers takes off into the night..Have you seen this commercial, one of the most interesting commercials i remember seeing.

IMPORTANT request from John:
I am looking to buy a commercial that my daughter did for pepsi when she was around 3 years old (around 1983) the clip starts with throwing the ball to her and she drops it when she tries to pick it up her foot bumps the ball and it rolls away from her, my wife remembers that they had a short and long commercial of it and it was nationwide
If you know anywhere I can locate this please let me know her wedding is march 6 .
Sherri wants to know:
What band, named after a fatherly insect, sings their new hit in a Pepsi commercial?
From Tina:
"Time and Time Again" by Papa Roach, and it was used in a 2003 Pepsi Blue commercial.
Film Junky wants to know:
Who is the artist singing the lyrics in the new "weiner world" commercial. Some lyrics are "All I'd like to say is my life is pretty plain"
Good News!  Tina has the answer:
The answer is "Blind Melon" and the song is "No Rain" from 1993. The video was memorable because it featured a girl in a bee costume wandering the streets as a misfit until she finds a group of people dressed like bees where she fits in.
Anthony wants to know:
I remember when I was younger, might have been around junior high or early highschool (mid 90's), there was this commercial, and the music in the commercial was a VERY cool version of Rod Stewarts "Some Guys Have All The Luck", it was like a techno version of the song that sounded like Garbage did it.  The commercial is this dorky guy walking into a nightclub with that song playing, and he dosen't seem to fit in but all of a sudden sees this HOTTTTTTTT girl, with jet-black, pixie-ish hair and wide eyes, scoping him out and approaching him.  She seems like she's taunting him at first, but by the end of the commercial the two ride off in some convertible together.
I cannot find that version of the song and would do just about anything to find it.  I could have swore it was Garbage who did it.  But the other reason is I remember the girl being soooo hot, and i've really had no luck in finding out who she is.  She kinda looks like a Shannyn Sossamon-ish type, without the asian characteristics.
If you can help me out, you'd be a savior.
Cari wants to know:
I am looking for a pepsi commercial filmed in 1968, in Las Vegas. It was of a bull rider. Would you know where I could find it?
Tara wants to know:
the commercial with cindy lauper and the bowling alley, who is the long blonde haired lady singing with her?
Tina can tell you:
It was a continuation of the "Be You" campaign for Dr. Pepper.  The blonde was Anastasia.
Susan wants to know:
We have a Pepsi sign that is like no other I have seen in trying to research it for the last 8 months.

I hope you can tell me how old it is, how it was used, and what it might be worth. We are not Pepsi collectors (collect everything else on the planet though)and would like to sell it but are at a loss on info.

It is a blk/wht photo enlargement of a Pepsi route driver in Houston. He is a young black man in his 20's or 30's. The sign/photo appears to be from the 1950's. He has a wooden case of Pepsi on his right shoulder, he is in uniform with his hat,the shirt is embroidered with "say pepsi, please". There is text painted on the sign--the upper left corner says "Serving you better,Houston" and across the bottom is "Your route salesman H.B.Lane". It is my guess that this was displayed on his truck to help introduce the drivers to their customers and the neighborhood they served.

The size--no frame--is 39 3/4" wide by 60"high. It is mounted on cardboard. Minor water stain does not detract. Has anyone ever heard of another one like this--am wondering if this was a 'Houston area only' type of promotion??

Sorry I don't currently have a pic of it but I will send you one soon.

This thing has all the bells and whistles of a great cross collectable---a unique survivor---50's era Pepsi, black collectable, Texas collectable.

I need your help folks--I am frustrated and lost as a goose as to how to research this (yes, I did contact the Houston bottling plant but they were no help). Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of people want to know the girl singer in new Pepsi commercials  (What is her name, what is the song, does she have any CD's out??).

Descriptions include "These guys are trying to buy a Pepsi at a vending machine, and the machine opens.  So, one guy goes inside, and it's a big dance club with some band on a stage with this chick singing."

"Who sings a song in a Pepsi commercial......her hair is blonde.....this guy walks into a Pepsi vending machine and enters a concert."

"This blonde chick with crimped hair dressed in black sings on stage. Its a blue room where 3 guys come in and one floats a Pepsi to her. She was awesome."

And the answer is ...... Shakira!

"The girl in the new Pepsi ads is Shakira.  A pop-singer from Latin America who is releasing an English language album in the states soon.  She is the Spanish Britney Spears (sorry Christina).  I got this information from the PepsiCo press releases. www.pepsico.com."

What Country is it from? The Netherlands

Pepsi Max Can.  "Maximum Taste No Sugar" on collar in English.  Size is "INHOUD 0,33 Le".    Part of writing on label says "VERPAKT MET TOESTEMMING VAN PEPSICO INC.  NEW YORK.  VRUMONA CONSUMENTENSERIVCE.  ANTW. NR. 2210. 3970 WD BUNNIK.  TEN MINSTE HOUDBAAR TOT EINDE: ZIE BODEM. Special thanks to the people who responded to this question.

There were several responses from people who narrowed the area down with educated guesses.

There was finally a definitive answer from a person who has a can like this and lives near where it is sold.
